Aséva utilizes a comprehensive battery of evidence-based instruments to provide early detection of perinatal mood and anxiety symptoms. Our assessment process is designed to be culturally grounded, looking beyond individual symptoms to evaluate symptoms and environmental stressors affecting the family unit. These screenings serve as a vital entry point, ensuring that every family receives a personalized and precise roadmap for their wellness journey.

Our psychotherapy services offer a sacred space for parents and families to process trauma and navigate the profound transitions of parenthood. We integrate evidence-based modalities like client-centered and family systems with somatic and ancestral healing practices to address deep-seated emotional dysregulation. Whether conducted in-person or via telehealth, our sessions are rooted in the philosophy of Asé, focusing on restoring balance and healing generations.

Group therapy at Aséva Wellness restores the "sense of village" by connecting families with shared lived experiences, such as birth trauma recovery or postpartum adjustment. These professionally facilitated circles provide a communal space for co-regulation and the collective processing of systemic barriers and personal transitions. By fostering these kinship networks, we help reduce the isolation of modern parenting and empower families to heal together.

Our parenting programs are designed to build self-efficacy by teaching mothers and fathers the science of attachment and the art of healthy interactions. We guide families through the developmental milestones of all four trimesters, and thereafter, emphasizing the importance of parental self-regulation and healthy bonding. These classes move beyond basic care to help parents cultivate a resilient family foundation rooted in community and kinship support.

Aséva Wellness provides professional development that bridges the gap between clinical Western medicine and ancestral wisdom, for professionals. Our curriculum focuses on specialized topics such as birth trauma, the neurobiology of co-regulation, and the social determinants of maternal mental health. By centering health equity and cultural humility, we equip clinicians to support families through a more holistic and systemic lens.
